Sales Representative

We see our Sales Representative as a source of our competitive advantage. The nature of the work is focused on mastering the field of building science and sustainable retrofitting, working with the leadership team to track systems of engagement with our customers, and estimation.

As we work towards scaling our growth while maintaining the quality of our services, we are hiring a dedicated Sales Representative who will have three key areas of responsibilities: (1) driving sales through direct engagement through consultations, conversions, and estimating; (2) establishing and maintaining systems to track sales and engagement pipelines; (3) and continually learning and acquiring new skills in the field of building science and sustainable retrofitting.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Drive overall home energy audits, weatherization packages, and radon mitigation sales through direct inquiries, managing engagement, and conversion after initial contact and through the entire sales pipeline.
- Tacking and analyzing sales statistics based on key quantitative metrics.
- Assisting in leading quality control of our services with the leadership team.
- Continually learning and acquiring new knowledge in the field of building science and sustainable retrofitting.
- Negotiate quotes and terms and prepare sales contracts (estimation).
- Track and maintain profit margin system with the production team.
- Master building science software modeling.
- Drive sales negotiation virtually and in person throughout metro Atlanta.
Customer Experience and Quality Assurance
- Care deeply about our customer experience, resources, and finished product /service installed.
- Educating our customers (or lead our sales team) directly through a combination of software modeling, diagnostic tools, and building science expertise on how to prioritize the projects that will improve the health, efficiency, and/or comfort of their home.
Team Leadership and Management

- Assist in leading the residential team to be passionate, competent, team-oriented and driven by our mission and if that changes support individuals to find their passion elsewhere.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Proven working experience in sales, estimation, construction, and/or sustainable retrofitting
- Proven leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Contract negotiation
- Passionate about learning or possess knowledge of and passion for building science and the field of sustainable retrofitting
- Passionate about learning or expert knowledge of building products, construction details, relevant building codes, regulations, and quality standards
- Capable of learning or understands all facets of the construction and/or the sustainable retrofitting process
- Familiarity (or passionate about learning) with construction management and/or sustainable retrofitting software packages
- Outstanding relationship and collaboration skills to work among internal stakeholders, external partners, and operational teams
- Excellent organization and time management skills, including the ability to work within strict deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proven experience communicating and aligning strategy with key internal and external stakeholders
- Proven track record of sales and customer management.
- Proficiency in project and sales management software tools
- Ability to set sales targets and achieve them efficiently
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
- Proven work experience with engaging customers virtually and in person
Building Analyst and Sales Technician

As we work towards scaling our growth while maintaining the quality of our services, we are hiring a dedicated Building Analyst/Sales Technician who will have three key areas of responsibilities: (1) gathering and analyzing data, (2) learning and acquiring new skills in the continually evolving field of building science and sustainable retrofitting, and (3) educating our customers about the most effective strategies to improve comfort and indoor air quality, reduce energy waste, and save money.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Establish an initial relationship with customers and communicate the scope of work (initial and post Smart Space BPI Home or Commercial Energy Assessment, sitting down to discuss reports generated, and filing of rebate applications etc)
- Collect and analyze data of buildings using diagnostic tools (blower door, duct blaster, pressure pan tests, infrared camera imaging, safety testing, etc) with a keen eye towards quality control, detail, and mitigating risk
- Select and manage tools, materials, equipment, and track inventory
- Identify any health and safety issues related for retrofitting projects
- Inspect and analyze building envelope, mechanical systems, electrical systems, or process systems to determine the energy consumption of each system
- Analyze technical feasibility of energy savings measures using knowledge of engineering, energy productions, energy use, construction costs, maintenance, system operation, or process system.
- Generate software reports based on gathered data
- Educate residential customers based on date gathered, software modeling, and principals of building science on the most effective retrofit projects to reduce energy waste, improve indoor air quality and comfort.
- Negotiate terms of agreements and draft contracts
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
- Proven working experience in related fields
- Able to articulate a broad knowledge of and passion for building science and the field of sustainable retrofitting in a thoughtful, concise, and professional manner
- Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards
- Familiarity with software modeling programs for retrofitting
